Support legislation for Veterans Benefits
Hold your representatives accountable for political rhetoric about supporting the troops. Lobby your representatives to Congress for legislation that supports Soldiers and Veterans Rights to medical and other benefits.
After screenings of these IMAP films you can ask your audience to write letters to their representatives supporting the legislative agenda of Veterans For America. The VFA agenda includes extending VA medical care from two to five years and equal education benefits. You can find a full listing of the VFA legislative agenda and check for their latest action alerts on the VFA website.

OUR PARTNERS
Veterans for America (VFA), a program of the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation and The Justice Project, is an educational, humanitarian and advocacy organization addressing the causes, conduct and consequences of war.
VFA brings generations of veterans together to build on more than 25 years of experience in protecting America's values. VFA is committed to addressing the needs of our veterans, service members and their families and their larger concerns about the impact of war.
Veterans United for Truth serves all members of the Armed Forces of the United States, by working toward the following goals: that they are never sent to war except for the direct defense of the United States, as determined by their elected representatives in Congress and mandated by the Constitution of the United States; that if sent they are fully trained and provisioned with the best possible equipment; then when sent, they are told the true purpose of their mission and what will constitute the satisfactory conclusion of that mission; and that during their deployment and upon their return, they and their families receive all the proper benefits a grateful nation can provide.
Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) is a group of veterans who have served since September 11th, 2001 including Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. IVAW is committed to saving lives and ending the violence in Iraq by an immediate withdrawal of all occupying forces. IVAW also believes that the governments that sponsored these wars are indebted to the men and women who were forced to fight them and must give their Soldiers, Marines, Sailors, and Airmen the benefits that are owed to them upon their return home.
